Is it really that simple? Change Your Water...Change Your Life?
With the current financial crisis on everyone's minds, it's important to realize that our risk of health challenges won't go away just because we might not be able to afford health insurance or health care.
While the presidential candidates debate their health care and economic strategy plans, and the entire country – no, make that the entire world – stresses out about the looming economic crisis; one thing is certain: our normal day-to-day challenges, such as the condition of our family's health, will not magically go away.
As people worry about their 401k losses and paying their mortgages, the risks of cancer and other potentially life-threatening diseases are still ever-present. Many already have such situations to deal with, and know that the added stress of financial concerns do not help their immune systems battle illnesses. Rather, stress has been shown to lower resistance to illnesses. Now, more than ever, we need some real solutions, not only about finances, but about how we can deal with these health challenges amid such economic and emotional turmoil.
The sad truth is that our health challenges won't disappear just because we lack the resources to pay for health insurance or health care. Medical costs were already the leading cause of bankruptcy in the U.S.; how much more so will this be true with this new economic development? How many more families will suffer financial ruin when health disasters strike, on top of all the other disasters like losing their jobs, homes or retirement?
That diagnosis from your doctor might happen next week or next month. And suddenly a new crisis will be added to the camel's back.
In light of the instability of the economy, do we really want to be dependent on the hopes of a new 'health care' (i.e., disease management) system?
For that matter, even if it materializes, do we really want to be dependent on the established medical system?
“Being dependent on the medical establishment is as detrimental to individuals and society as our dependence on foreign oil. Taking responsibility for our health through preventative maintenance is supported by the same fundamental principles as shifting to renewable energy resources in the energy sector.” -- Sterling D. Allan, CEO of PES Network, Inc.
We are already seeking alternative sources of fuel and energy. Many of you visiting this website might even be living in self-sufficient homes – or want to be. Are you self-sufficient in your health management as well?
In these troubled times, it would behoove us to rethink our approach to health care.

How does the U.S. rate in world health?
According to the United Nations, the U.S. is currently ranked #37 for longevity - right below Cuba.
Japan tops the list at #1. (1)
While undoubtedly there are many factors contributing to this statistic, what we do know is that the Japanese tend to focus more on prevention; hence, the average Japanese citizen manages to spend only about 1/3 as much on health care as the average American, yet lives 5-7 years longer. (2)
Perhaps one of their secrets is something ridiculously simple and yet so important...the water that they drink. Approximately 1 in 5 households has a water ionizer machine in Japan.
Clinical Studies
In Japan, many hospitals and clinics have been using purified, electrically restructured, ionized, alkaline water -- trademarked as Kangen Water™ ('Kangen' means 'return to origin') -- for over 30 years to treat a number of disease conditions. See reports of clinical studies.
pH: A key to health?
In 1931, Dr. Otto Warburg won the Nobel Prize for proving that cancer cells must have an anaerobic environment to live. (3) In recent years, many books have been written asserting that balancing the body's pH is a crucial factor in lowering the risk of cancer and other diseases.
The challenge, of course, is keeping our bodies at the proper pH. While diet is extremely important, many people on a health regimen drink bottled or filtered water, both of which are usually very acidic and oxidizing; both of which may contribute to an environment in which cancer and other diseases are known to thrive.
